If you have been checking out my blog, you may have noticed I have a tab for Las Vegas. I visit this city every 2 or 3 months, and have been staying at the Cosmopolitan the past few times.
For this trip, I decided to splurge for my birthday month, and upgrade my “free” room to the Junior suite facing the Bellagio Fountain and the Strip for just $50 per night. What an upgrade it was! My room was in the East Tower, on the 62nd floor. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by a sitting area and a mini kitchenette with a microwave, fridge (full of mini bar items, not included).
Past the sitting area is a small hallway where the closet is to the right, and the bathroom to the left. The bathroom had 2 sinks, a walk in shower which led to a “Kabuki” style tub which had a window with a view of the Strip. The bedroom was to the left of the bathroom, and the sliding glass door led out to the balcony and a gorgeous view of the Bellagio hotel fountain, Paris hotel and the Strip.
We took advantage of the room and enjoyed the balcony and view at night. We did gamble a bit, and even enjoyed the cocktails. On this visit, I even tried a Lemondrop Martini! Of course, no visit is complete without going upstairs to the 3rd floor and getting a slice at Secret Pizza! Thumbs up to this Vegas visit… and I look forward to another visit in a few months.
