Anaheim: Win Thai Cuisine

After a week of eating my way through Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana, I was craving something non diner, non fried.  Thai food sounded fantastic! This place is located behind the Euclid car wash off Euclid and La Palma. It’s a tiny little place with about six booths and six tables.

My visit was specifically for their lunch special, and I chose their Pad Thai, which is made with chicken for $6.95. If you want beef or shrimp, it’s a buck or two more. The ladies who run the place was pleasant, but not the most focus. You ask one person for something, and someone else brings it to you. Maybe that’s how they do their team work?

The food is made to order, and I have a hunch that my order was made at the same time as the table next to me, as we all ordered the chicken pad Thai. The lunch special comes with soup or salad, and being it was 80° outside, I opted for the salad. The salad was iceberg lettuce, tossed in a creamy, almost sweet dressing.

The lunch portion look deceptively small, but after I finished, I was surprised I was full all day. The Thai iced tea was delicious, and worth the 2.50 splurge… As there’s no refill.  Probably not the best pad Thai I’ve ever had, but it hit the spot and it was cheap. With my drink, the bill came to just over $10 before tip.
