Orange: Yoshiharu Ramen

My friends and I were at the Anaheim Ducks Face-off Fest and wanted something to eat after the event. It was starting to rain, so a bowl of ramen, or something soupy sounded good.  This place was about 2 miles from the Honda Center, and they were open on a Sunday afternoon.

Located off Tustin Street, in the same plaza as Chuck E. Cheese is this ramen restaurant.  It a Japanese sounding name, but when you walk in, they’re playing K-Pop (Korean Pop music) on their screen, and our waiter could have been Korean as well.  So technically, it is a ramen place, but not a Japanese ramen place.

The menu has rice bowls, from curry to spicy beef, and appetizer food from karaage (fried chicken)  to gyoza (dumplings) to croquettes, and, of course ramen bowls.  I chose the combination miso ramen with karaage, and most of my friends chose the same but with the gyoza.

Was it the best ramen I’ve had?  No, definitely not, nor was it the most filling bowl I’ve had. The broth was overly salty and the service was just ok.  However, it hit the spot, and helped us out on a gloomy Sunday afternoon.  The prices were fair, but overall, there’s better places in Orange County.  I would come back only if I couldn’t find another ramen place near me.
