December is probably the best time of the year to visit Las Vegas. For one thing, it’s not scorching hot! The weather is actually quite cool, even as low as 47 degrees, and the high is a nice comfortable 67 degrees. For Californians, that’s winter!
So every year we take Stephen’s mom to Vegas. Not only is the weather great, the rooms are dirt cheap. I usually get free rooms but rarely do I get free ones at Caesar’s Palace during the weekend. I took advantage of my weekend freebie, which included a shopping spree at Coach boutique. How can I say no? We arrived on Friday around 2:00, and Tom, the front desk guy, helped me before. I immediately told him I remembered he was great, and saying those nice words got me (and Stephen’s mom) upgraded to the Palace Towers, a newly renovated tower with larger sized rooms.
Our room was on the 18th floor, with a view of the pool and a partial view of the Strip. It wasn’t the best view, but the room was spacious, and we even had a whirlpool tub! Overall, not a bad room for “free”.
