Orange, California: Gonzalez restaurant #TacoTuesday

It’s Tuesday.. time to find some Taco Tuesday!! If it wasn’t for yelp or my GPS, I’d drive by here and wouldn’t know it.  This tiny restaurant is tucked in a non descript strip mall, that’s not even facing Chapman. Thankfully yelpers said find the donut shop, and I did.

There’s plenty of parking and it’s the 2nd to last store next to a Filipino place that was missing its marquee.  Inside there’s a handful of tables, so I am sure it can get crowded very fast.

We came here for the 99c Taco Tuesday, and I got the carne asada, al pastor, and the carnitas, and an horchata for drink.  It’s the small street taco size, and sadly one tortilla per taco.. really disappointed there. Of the 3 I liked the asada the best, the carnitas the least. Mine was dry.. perhaps it was the outside cut of the pork?  The horchata was omg good.. but at almost $3 a serving, I would hope so!

As we left the place was getting busy, so obviously people know about this hidden gem.
