Huntington Beach: Issara Thai Cuisine

I was getting my car serviced at JeepCare, and needed to pick up lunch.  Issara came up and it was only a few streets away with reasonably priced lunch specials.

The little restaurant is located in a strip mall off Gothard and Warner in Huntington Beach. I used Yelp’s Eat24 and placed my Pad Thai with chicken order for pick up.  When I arrived, I had to wait maybe 15-20 minutes for my food. The decor was minimalist, with a medley of tables and booth, and I was surprised it wasn’t busy. Perhaps it was a Monday?  Or the inclement weather?

My Pad That lunch special came to $7.51 with tax. The portion for the To Go order was decent for 1 person.  Even after traveling 20 minutes to my office, the Pad Thai was delicious and at least 3-4 ounces of chicken breast strips was in my order. For a $7 lunch special, I would say that’s pretty fair. Even the salad with baby mixed greens, romaine lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, and cucumbers was decent. Overall a good place for a fairly priced lunch.  Friendly staff, but if you’re in a hurry this may not be the place to go.
