The Calgary Flames have still yet to win a game at the Honda Center. Well, in their last 28 games (that’s January 28, 2004) back when it was called the Arrowhead Pond, the Flames have yet to win a game. On Saturday, April 15, 2017, their losing streak continued.
The Ducks scored first and second in the first period, and gave up a short handed goal. The Ducks squander the lead in the second period. The game would be tied until 4:46 left of the 3rd period, when the Ducks would get a lucky bounce, giving us the go-ahead goal and the game winning goal. Click here for the Ducks recap of the game.

- … Monday marks the first playoff date at the Saddledome since May 8, 2015. The Ducks scratched out a 4-2 win that night in Game 4 of their second-round showdown, returning to Anaheim with a commanding 3-1 series lead and finishing the job on home ice
- … The current cast of Ducks haven’t suffered a regulation loss since way back on March 10. After capping the regular season on a 11-0-3 roll, they bested the Flames by a 3-2 count in both Games 1 and 2 at Honda Center. The crew from Calgary, if you’ve lost count, has now suffered 29 consecutive losses at their Unhappiest Place on Earth
- … Through two playoff games, Flames C Sam Bennett, D Matt Bartkowski and LW Micheal Ferland share the team lead with eight hits apiece. Anaheim’s top thumpers are RW Patrick Eaves and C Ryan Getzlaf, both credited with seven collisions
- … The Ducks won 61 per cent of faceoffs in the two clashes at Honda Center. Getzlaf posted a sparkling 70.6 per cent success rate at the dot. Even more telling, C Ryan Kesler is operating at a 54.3 per cent clip, and that’s the worst mark on his team. Of Calgary’s regular pivots, Bennett has most success at 40 per cent. Yikes
- … Flames prospect Brandon Hickey will return for his senior season at Boston University. In fact, the Terriers have announced the 21-year-old defenceman – a third-round pick in 2014 – will serve as their captain during the 2016-17 campaign.
