Disneyland celebrates Lunar New Year

I have an annual pass to Disneyland and I went with my friend Roger to just hang out. As we wandered toward the Small World/ Fantasyland area, we noticed that the area had a Chinese theme, with lunar new year banners and lanterns decorations.

The trees had lanterns, and the viewing area was converted into a photo opportunity area.

Cast members were dressed in pseudo chinese costumes, and there were street performers and crafts for guests to enjoy.

While we were admiring the decorations, the loud speaker came on, announcing guest performers doing various dances celebrating the lunar new year. We stayed to watch them perform, and Disney characters like Chip and Dale were dressed in Chinese themed costumes, and Mulan came out with Mushu to do a dance and also to greet the crowd.

One guest said there were performanes every 30 minutes. Overall, the celebration and experience was a nice surprise!
