The name, CallMeMochelle came about thanks to a social media type-o, and the name sort of just stuck.
Like many fellow bloggers, when I first created this blog, I had no idea what I was doing. I knew I wanted to learn to create an online journal with pictures, and capture the moment of my life.
There was a down side, I didn’t really spend much time on a computer, so pretty much the earlier work is rather bleak and boring. Most of my early entries were just quick sentences, or copies from news media on hockey or current event topics. You could say they were just a “snapshot” of my life.
Later, as I started traveling, I decided to expand my blog by capturing details on my travels, like highlights of my trip, or even a quick photo of the trip. However, another down side was I didn’t own a camera, and I was at the mercy of my then husband, family and friends to send me photos. Again, pretty much “snapshots” of my life.
Eventually, I did get a camera, and even a laptop. I started blogging about other things besides hockey and traveling, which helped me create my initial blog tag line: Experience New Places | Eat Different Food | Follow the Anaheim Ducks.
I hope you agree that I have improved as a blogger. I expanded my topics outside sports and travel, so I don’t think I will ever be pigeon-holed as a specific blogger (ie: food blogger, travel blogger, sports blogger). I am, however, happy to say that I am able to share a variety of experiences instead.
