Las Vegas: the Egg and I

There’s more to Las Vegas than the Strip. If you’re willing to venture 10 minutes outside the Strip, there’s a great breakfast place called the Egg and I. They also own Egg Works, which has the egg-xact same menu.  The portions here are more than generous, and on weekends, the wait can be long.

I ordered an omelet which came with fruit and a banana muffin, while my husband ordered the Flapper: 2 pancakes, meat and 2 eggs any style. My mom ordered the Island breakfast, which is 2 serving of spam with egg and 2 scoops of rice.  Since we knew there was already too much food, my dad ordered a side of ham and took my muffin. Similar to IHOP, they provide an all you can drink carafe of coffee.

Not into eggs? No worry! They also have non egg dishes, such as pancakes, waffles, and even meat items like sausage and ham.

With the all you can drink coffee, the bill came to $ 36, for 4 people. Truly, a great bargain, especially for Las Vegas.

The Egg and I is located at 4533 West Sahara, and is only open for breakfast and lunch.
