Syracuse Crunch – Crunch Clash with Senators in Hashtag Battle to Benefit Make-a-Wish

Syracuse, NY (February 27, 2012) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today details of the second-annual Make-A-Wish Cup to be held at the club’s home game against the Binghamton Senators on March 2.

The Crunch and Senators are teaming up to host a ‘hashtag battle’ to determine this year’s Make-A-Wish Cup winner. For each tweet containing the team’s hashtag the team will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, up to $500.

The Team who’s hashtag is used the most will be declared the Make-A-Wish Cup winner.Fans from both the Syracuse Crunch and the Binghamton Senators are invited to participate in the battle beginning at 9 a.m. on February 27 and ending March 2 at noon by using the hashtag CrunchWish or BSensWish. The winner will be revealed during the an intermission of the Syracuse Crunch vs. Binghamton Senators game on March 2 in Syracuse.

The mascot from the team that generates the least number of hashtags for the Make-A-Wish Foundation will have to wear the jersey of the opposing team during the next period of the game.
