OC Restaurant week is from February 26- March 3. Last week, Anita Lau, aka @MadHungryWoman kicked off Restaurant Week by doing a write up on “the Ranch Restaurant and Saloon”.
The pre-fixed menu (and Anita’s description of the food) sounded delicious, it prompted me to try The Ranch with my friend Linda and her family. The restaurant did not have a children’s menu, so they created a modified version of their lobster macaroni and cheese (sans the lobster) along with fresh fruit slices for Linda’s son.

Aji Amarillo Chile / Naval Orange / Avocado
For Restaurant Week, the Ranch added the Confit of Moscovy Duck as one of the entree items. It is not normally on the menu, but the positive responses were overwhelming, and they may consider adding it permanently.
Aside from the Duck, all other items shown below are always on the menu
|Confit of Muscovy Duck Leg
Beluga Lentils / House Made Guanciale / Baby Root Vegetables
|Petite Filet of Beef
Butternut Squash / Sundried Cherries / Cipollini Onions / Tennessee truffles

|PBJ & Milk Chocolate Bar
Concord Grape / Caramelized Banana Ice Cream
|Tahitian Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée
