The downside of traveling with a lot of people is trying to transport them to the venue. I decided to hire a bus from Broward’s Transportation to take the group of 29 hockey fans from Newark, NJ to Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum. The bus ride was about an hour and a half long, and we had to be there by 11:00 am for brunch at the Doolin’s.
The bus driver arrived early, and we left promptly at 9:20 am. We went through tunnels, onto Manhattan, bridges and finally arrived at 11:00 am. It was snowing when we got there, and it was cold! The arena is old, and reminded me of the old Forum in Inglewood. I’m glad that this arena is off my check list of places to visit. It’s truly a dump.
