Idaho: Lake Coeur d’Alene

After our breakfast at Cracker Barrel, we decided to explore the town of Coeur d’ Alene.  We were told that just up the street was a visitor’s center and their lake.  We followed the signs to the visitor’s center and behold… both the Visitor’s Center and the lake was in front of us.

The lady at the Visitor’s Center gave us a quick run down of the town, and said we could probably walk the town in a hour or so.  We drove around their “Main Street” and didn’t find any interesting shops.  We found a parking spot off Third Street, and walked the perimeter of the lake, and their floating boardwalk.  We spent about 2 hours walking around.

While heading back to the car, we stopped at a souvenir store so Stephen could get his niece, Sierra, a memento.  We also picked up Huckleberry mints, which is specific to the hills of Idaho and Montana, and then we headed off to Montana.
