It’s the most wonderful time of the year…
Disneyland Resort is in full holiday mode, and Disney California Adventure is celebrating the Festival of Holidays until January 8th. Throughout the park, there are food stands offering tasting size menus of food celebrated from around the world.
Guests and purchase a “sip and savor” pass for $54, or if you have an annual pass you get a reduced priced one, as well as a special Annual Pass lanyard and buttons.
The pass provides 8 coupon “tabs” valid for any food or non alcoholic beverage from any of the Festive Food Marketplace locations:
- A Twist on Tradition
- Blissfully Braised
- Brews & Bites
- Favorite Things
- Grandma’s Recipes
- Holiday Duets
- Merry Mashups
- Spicy Celebrations
- Visions of Sugarplums
- Winter Sliderland
- Winter Wonders
Stephen and I shared a pass, and selected these 8 items from the Festival:
The Elysian’s Dark Knife beer, Beef Pot Roast, and the Candied Yams
Chana masala with naan bread, Turkey tamale and Pumpkin soup
And our final 3 choices: the Black Forest Yule log, Pozole Rojo beef with hominy polenta, and Nashville turkey.
Everything was simply amazing, and I couldn’t really narrow my favorite down to just one. If I had to choose though, perhaps the Rojo beef is my first choice, as it was a generous serving of beef, and it was cooked perfectly and it was oh so tender! The 8 tabs was perfect for lunch, and we left satisfied, but not overly stuffed.
