The NHL asked the Anaheim Ducks and the LA Kings to kick off the NHL season in London, England. Little did the Ducks fans know, our team would win the Stanley Cup, and we would be going to England defending the Cup title. The Ducks provided us with hotel, breakfast, game tickets, transportation to/from the airport, and transportation to/ from the O2 Arena. Not included were our additional meals and airfare.
As part of our package we had a tour of London, a goodie bag which consisted of a rain coat with the Premiere London logo, a messenger bag with the Ducks logo and the words London 07 embroidered, an official game puck, and of course our famous Orange towel. Our hotel was in the heart of Central London, off Central line in the Marble Arch area. Brisk 20 min walk to Hard Rock, Harrods, or a quick tube ride to Covent Garden, Picadilly Circus or the Theatres.

OUR TIME WITH LORD STANLEY’S CUP: One unexpected perk of this trip was having the Ducks win the Stanley Cup. The Ducks arranged to have the fans take pictures with the Cup, and listen to stories from Phil, one of the “keepers” of the Cup.
