Last day in Denver: Molly Brown’s house

It’s our last day, and it’s also Super Bowl. Our flight wasn’t until 6:10 pm, and our shuttle was picking up at 3:00 pm, so we had a lot of time to kill after checking out of the hotel. I went with Karen, Alice, Sandy, Jack and Wally to find the 13th step on the Capitol Hill. That spot marks the Mile High from sea level.

Unfortunately, there was snow covering the steps and we did not know until later the “mile” marker was engraved on the steps. After Capitol Hill, we went to Pennsylvania & 12th Street, to the home of Margaret “Molly” Brown.

We lucked out the tour was starting in an hour, and we had plenty of time to get back to the hotel to claim our luggage before the shuttle arrived.  Overall, it was a great trip. It’s a nice place to visit, but I’m looking forward to going home.
