The medieval village of Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Munich bound!! Before heading to Munich, we took a detour to see the medieval village of Rothenburg. We arrived in the afternoon, just as the sun was setting, so unfortunately we didn’t have much time to spend here.

Stephen remembered visiting when he used to visit his uncle, and did not recall the place being so big.  We found a parking spot at the entrance, and walked into the village. Most of the shops were closed or closing, but we kept spying one pastry item the locals called “snowballs”.  We didn’t buy any, and we sort of regret not taking one to try.

We continued walking into the village, and noticed the sun was going down.  We still had to head to Munich so we turned back and took photos from the wall’s perimeter.

It looks like we’ll have to come back the next time we return to Germany.
