I wouldn’t have discovered this place if it hadn’t been for a fantastic Groupon deal.

The deal was 2 fish n chips (correction: 2 generous pieces!) and drinks, which included beer as a choice, for basically half off. Seriously the best deal in Seattle. The guy who greeted us must have been the owner, and was funny and friendly.

At 7pm on a Monday night, it wasn’t busy but there were customers, mostly taking food to go. The food is made to order, so patience was key. Unfortunately, it didn’t help we were hungry. The fish wasn’t greasy and the fries were crisp. We had the rock fish and the cod, both excellent but I think I prefer cod if I were to eat here again.

The owner said he’s one of the few independent fish companies left in Seattle, and has been here since 1987. The place will give you a buck off if you bring your drink from Starbucks too. Not too many places will give you a discount for bringing in outside food.
