San Diego: Staycation at Valley View Casino & Hotel

Valley View Casino and Hotel is located about 1 -1/2 hours south of Orange County, nestled in the Indian Reservations near Temecula.  Stephen and his parents enjoy going to this casino, and prefers to spend the night rather than make a one day trip out of it.  So on a Tuesday in August, we made reservations for a “staycation”.

We had a room on the 5th floor and it also included a full breakfast.  The rooms are all non smoking and are quite large in size.  The room has a flat screen television, complimentary water, a sunken tub and a walk in steam shower. Hotel guests also had access to the infinity pool on the third floor.

The next day we had breakfast in the casino’s coffeeshop: BLD.  We had a variety of food to choose from, and it was included in the hotel room.

Stephen and I had the omelette, which came with hash browns and toast, his dad had bacon and eggs, while mom had the Challah French Toast. All breakfast items also came with house muffins. The service was just ok.  It started off great, and toward the end, we couldn’t find anyone to refill a glass of water.

The room rate for this visit was $139, tax included and no resort fee.  With a complimentary breakfast, it was not a bad deal and worth checking out again.
