Egyptian Greetings!

I was going to blog about my Egyptian vacation as I was traveling, but unfortunately the Wi-Fi where I am at is not strong, and neither is my cell phone signal.

I’ll have to update my blog when I get back home, meanwhile greetings from the Nile river! After a couple days in Cairo, we saw the Great pyramids of Giza, the Sphynx, Cairo Museum, the Mohammed Ali mosque, and the Grand Bazaar.

Two days ago, we made it to Luxor and saw the Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. We even rode a horse and carriage through Luxor’s bazaar. Today we went to the Valley of the Kings, including King Tut’s tomb, and Queen Hatshepsut Temple.

We’re sailing down the River Nile, and it’s sunset, and I’m listening to the call to prayer for the Muslim worshippers.

Egypt is a beautiful place, with friendly people. It’s sad that tourism is down. The places that was once crowded is practically deserted. I hope more people will realize that it’s about as safe as staying at home. For the most part, its safe, and the people are grateful to see tourists.
