January 2017: Princess Cruise to Mexico

Our 7-day cruise began at the Port of Los Angeles (San Pedro).  The check in process was quite easy, as there are porters at the docks ready to assist you with your luggage.  Our designated appointment time was 1:00 pm, and unlike our prior experience in Canada, we were on the ship within half an hour.

Our cabin was on the Dolphin Deck, and we had access to it immediately.  We had a mini suite, which consists of a balcony, a sitting area, sleeping area, and a bathroom with a tub.

Our luggage had not arrived to our cabin, so we decided to wander around the ship, and get something to eat… the famous pizza and soft serve ice cream! Later, our luggage came and we were greeted with an anniversary card and balloons.

Due to inclement weather, there was going to be a delay in pushing off from San Pedro. That didn’t mean that the passengers had to stop their vacation, as dinner and activities was going to be on schedule.

Our dinner time was the 2nd seating at 8:00 pm, so we had plenty of time to relax and unwind for our vacation.

For dessert, our waiter Arren surprised us with an anniversary cake, which we paired with scoops of ice cream.

After dinner, we walked around the ship and tried to check out a show.  Unfortunately the show was full, so we went to our cabin to unpack, and get ready for the next day, which was a full day at Sea.
