The ship ended up leaving San Pedro a little after midnight. We woke up to gloomy weather, with rough seas. We had many options for breakfast, from sit down breakfast at the restaurant, buffet on the Lido Deck, quick bites of pastries at the International Cafe on the 5th floor, to breakfast in our stateroom. We chose the buffet. Unfortunately the place was so crowded, it was difficult to take photos, and viewing a hodgepodge of food on my plate didn’t sound appealing, even for this blogger.
Following a quick breakfast, we made our way to the Piazza on the 5th floor to watch the Fruit and Vegetable Carving demonstration. Two chefs from the Ruby Princess carved out 6 different animals, and a flower bouquet, using nothing more than fruit, vegetables, kebab sticks, clippers, and knives.
Right after the demonstration was over, we headed to the Wheelhouse Grill, also located on Deck 5, for a “Pub Style” lunch. Stephen’s parents and I had the classic Fish n Chips, while Stephen had the Bangers n Mash. For dessert, we had the Butter Bread Pudding.
