Press release:

Inspired by a chance meeting at the 2016 Golden Foodie Awards, Chef Joseph Mahon of Burger Parlor and Dexter Holland, founder of Gringo Bandito Hot Sauce will debut the Gringo Bandito Tostada Burger at both Burger Parlor Locations. The burger was teased recently via social media and will be officially available on their daily menu starting March 24.

“While celebrating Burger Parlor’s Golden Foodie win for ‘Best Burger’, I had the opportunity to speak with Dexter,” said Mahon. “I decided that I’d really like to honor our mutual Orange County roots and collaborate with Gringo Bandito on a signature burger.”

Crafted with 100% hormone free Nebraskan beef, the Gringo Bandito Tostada Burger features a crisp tostada chip, fried egg, Gringo Bandito crema, crushed avocado, roasted Anaheim chile and Gringo Bandito Aioli. The burger serves as the perfect combination of the spicy Mexican flavors synonymous with Gringo Bandito and the creative quality Burger Parlor is known for.

Burger Parlor has been an Orange County favorite since opening their doors in 2010, and have been critically praised by guests and food critics alike. Gringo Bandito was founded in 2004 by Dexter Holland, singer of the multi-platinum group The Offspring and the sauce has officially sold over 1 million bottles to date. With both brands hailing from Orange County, this burger is destined to please local burger and hot sauce enthusiasts alike.

About Gringo Bandito

Gringo Bandito was started in 2004 by Dexter Holland, singer for the multi-platinum punk rock band The Offspring, more as a hobby than a business. After several years and over a million bottles later, Gringo Bandito hot sauce has garnered a worldwide audience and a loyal following.

“We’re not the most well-known hot sauce out there,” says Holland, “but once people try it, they’re hooked.” Gringo Bandito is now sold in Australia, Japan, Canada, Finland, Switzerland, UK, Poland, Germany, Belgium, Hungary and coast to coast in the US and can be found in the top 10 on Amazon.com’s highest customer rated hot sauces amongst 5000+ other products.

About Burger Parlor

The first pop-up concept to go brick and mortar, Burger Parlor was inspired by chef and owner Joseph Mahon’s burger-focused events at Michelin star restaurant Bastide. Burger Parlor’s 2011 pop up was greeted with rave reviews and lines stretching out the door. Since then, the concept has been honored to be named one of “Orange County’s 11 Best Burgers” by Thrillist.com, “Best Burger” at the 2016 Golden Foodie Awards, Fullerton’s “#1 Essential Restaurant” By OC Weekly, as well as one of Orange Coast Magazine’s “Top 25 Things To Eat in OC”.
