Las Vegas: Planet Hollywood

Las Vegas… I’ve lost count on how many times I have been here. I usually visit every other month, and I am by no means a “high roller”.  I do use the casino’s “players card” when I do gamble and get plenty of free stuff.  For this visit, I was invited to stay for the weekend at Planet Hollywood, and also got a $150 shopping credit at Gucci.  How can I pass that up?

img_2752I’ve stayed at most of the other Caesar’s Entertainment properties except for Planet Hollywood and the Cromwell.  Now, I can check that off my list.  The parking entrance is located off Harmon, not off Las Vegas Boulevard. From there, you can select parking for the Miracle Mile, self parking or the valet. Parking is no longer free, unless you are a platinum card holder or higher.  Fortunately I am platinum.

My free room was originally on the 7th floor, overlooking the pool.  I asked to be placed in a higher floor due to the pool noise, and thankfully I was moved. Even on the 22nd floor, the noise of the thumpa-thumpa music reached up to my room. The room was nicer than I anticipated, quite spacious and had a desk area, a table, and a chaise lounge. Unfortunately, there’s no mini bar but they do give you an empty fridge to store whatever drinks you want from downstairs.

The bathroom was nice and spacious, and even reminded me of the Cosmopolitan. We had a deep sunken bathtub, a walk in shower, and 2 sinks… not side by side but across from each other, giving us plenty of personal space.

The view wasn’t bad, and overlooked the pools from our hotel and I could also see the Cosmopolitan hotel’s pool.  Not bad for “free”.  I can’t find anything really bad to say about this stay at Planet Hollywood.  On Saturday, the valet was slammed and I had to wait to drop off my car, but that’s not their fault. I would stay here again.
