Stephen’s birthday was last Wednesday, so to celebrate I took him to lunch at Carthay Circle, located inside Disney California Adventure. We had 12:30 reservations, but arrived too early. To kill time, we stopped for a photo with Goofy and then had drinks at the lounge.
Upon checking in, the hostess asked if we wanted the “World of Colors” menu. Sure, why not. It was a 3-course menu, where you got a starter, entrée, dessert and non alcoholic beverage for $43. You can even apply your annual pass discount, too. One of the higher end entrees (such as the steak) was over $30, so this was a good deal, even if you don’t plan on attending the WOC show at 9:30 pm.
We first started off with the Jalapeno cheese biscuits (not part of the WOC menu).
For lunch, Stephen had the salad, while I had the soup.
For the entrée, Stephen chose the ravioli, while I had the tri-tip steak.
Lastly, for dessert, Stephen had the Chocolate Rocky Road Brownie, while I had the Summer Peach and Blueberry pie. Since we didn’t select a non-alcoholic beverage with our meal, we opted to pair our dessert with coffee.
Our lunch came to $107 before the annual pass discount. The discount took off 15%, which brought it down to $97 and change. It was an excellent meal. We didn’t want the WOC tickets, so we gave it to the couple next to us. Hopefully they will enjoy the show.
