Goodbye, Edinburgh –> Hello, London (via the Heathrow Express)

The first part of our UK visit is up, and now we move on to London, England.  Our flight was at noon, and we splurged on a taxi (using the GETT app).  The Edinburgh airport is small, so getting through security was a breeze.

After landing in London, collecting (or they say “reclaim”) our luggage, we made our way to the Heathrow Express.  Taking the Heathrow Express is the fastest way to get to London. The train runs frequently (every half hour, I think) and it takes only 15 minutes to get from Heathrow to London’s Paddington Station.  From Paddington, you can connect to the Underground or take a taxi or  bus to your final destination.  The Heathrow Express isn’t that cheap, about 22 pounds ($56 dollars for 2 person), plus whatever fare you need to connect, once in London.

Once we arrived at Paddington, we were able to find the Underground station (literally within the train station) and found which line took us to our hotel.
