Seattle

Seattle bound… staying at the Airbnb “Nest”

I wasn’t planning on going anywhere, but I came across an awesome deal from Long Beach to Seattle for $150.. round trip! I grabbed 2 seats and did a very quick trip to the Emerald City.

I found a great little Airbnb located in the hip Ballard part of Seattle (20 minutes from downtown) which was perfect for me and Karen’s 2 night stay.

The “Nest” is a mother-in-law type cottage tucked behind the main house. The downstairs has a single bed, and upstairs in the loft is a double bed.  The ladder leading up to the Loft is steep, so getting up and down was a work out.

The cottage had a kitchenette, with a stove top, microwave, and a fridge stocked with eggs, English muffins, milk, butter, yogurt and apple sauce. There was also coffee, tea, oatmeal and cereal. The bathroom had a shower, plenty of fluffy towels, and a medicine cabinet filled with soap, extra razors, shaving cream, toothbrush/ toothpaste, floss and a first aid kit.

It’s a perfect little place if you don’t plan on visiting the heart of Seattle. Plenty of parking on the street, or if there’s no one staying in the main house, there’s the driveway.
