The Pizza Press in Fullerton is another “build your own” pizza place, but this place also serves craft beer.. the bonus in coming here versus Pieology located around the corner. It’s a little hard to find, as there’s no real big sign off the street. They’re located on Nutwood, across from CSU Fullerton, next door to Flame Broiler in the cluster of other restaurants.
You can pick from a preset pizza menu or make your own, which involves picking your base (ie: sauce), your cheese(s), and meat/ vegetable toppings. The pizza goes through a conveyor oven (unlike Blaze or Pieology which uses a brick fire oven) and 3 minutes later, your pizza is ready. They serve your pizza on a wooden paddle which can make it awkward if you’re sitting with multiple people.
The pizza was just over $8, and beers start at $5. Sodas are available, as well as fizzy water and other drinks. We came on a weekend, and there was plenty of parking. I can imagine that the parking can be a pain during the week, as it shares with professional offices.
We did enjoy our pizza, and will try another location to compare the consistency and quality. Stephen really liked that they serve a variety of craft beer, and he likes the thin crust as it’s lower in carbs.
