Disney World: Hollywood Studios / Galaxy’s Edge

It’s our first full day at WDW, and we’re going to Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM Studios). Since we are still on West Coast time, we didn’t get up until 9:00 (which for us is 6:00 am), and we missed out on getting boarding passes for the Rise of the Resistance (ROTR) attraction. Oh well, luckily we have it at Disneyland.

As we walked inside, Stephen kept saying “wait a minute…” as things looked out of place for him. Apparently the entrance to Hollywood Studios reminded him of Disney California Adventure. I guess it does, but I never made a connection until he mentioned it.

We had some time before our lunch reservation, so we made our way to the Star Wars land (ie: Galaxy’s Edge) to compare it to the Disneyland version.

Their Galaxy’s Edge is exactly like Disneyland’s but they have Photopass Super Zoom that California doesn’t have. To experience this, it must be taken by a Photopass cast member inside Galaxy’s Edge and can be viewed on the WDW Photopass app or website.

The other Photopass that is available at WDW is a 360° photo of Batuu with a “Tiny World” Magic Shot. This was worth standing in line for this photo.

We didn’t stay to ride the Millennium Falcon, or to eat, as we had lunch plans at the 50’s Prime Time Café… which is coming up next!
