Disney World: Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’

For our first night, I knew I had to make a late dinner reservation, so I chose Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ restaurant located at the Disney Springs, which is WDW’s Downtown Disney area.

From our resort, we could take water shuttles to Disney Springs. They ran every 15-20 minutes until 11:30 pm.

We had a bit of difficulty finding the restaurant. I forgot how big Disney Springs was. Eventually we found it, and was seated promptly.

We had the Disney Dining Plan as part of our package. For a sit down restaurant, we can get an entree, dessert and a beverage of any kind, including alcohol. Stephen chose the Old Fashioned Elder and I ordered the Moonshine Mash.

We both chose the signature Fried Chicken dinner and dessert was donuts for me, chocolate pecan pie for him.

Overall it was delicious but I’m sure glad we had the dining plan. It’s a bit pricey for what you get, probably because it’s a celebrity chef restaurant.
