Memphis has an area called Beale Street, a few streets that are blocked off so people can safely visit the bars and restaurants. If you go before 10:00 pm, there’s no cover charge. Since my hotel was a few blocks away, we decided to check it out.
The bars try to lure patrons with no cover charge and restaurants try to lure you with live music. As in most touristy places, the prices are high and reviews on Yelp are not worth stopping.
Even though we didn’t stop to eat, we can say we saw Beale Street at night.
