Located at the Disneyland Hotel, in the hidden area behind the pool, is Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar. While there’s no singing birds or Maynard Smith, the popular cast member who recently retired, it is a Tropical Hideaway.

Reservations are hard to get and the bar is always busy. I was lucky to grab this last minute cancellation and I didn’t know what to expect.
We were seated at the bar. At first I was not happy about the location, but soon realized that it was one of the best seats in the house. There’s a lot of interaction with the bartender/ cast member and the special effects that happens in the truly enchanted tiki bar.
The drinks were delicious but not surprisingly expensive. The bartender was not skimpy with the alcohol. The food was just ok. We shared the bento box and the poke. The quality was average.

If you don’t have reservations, you can try getting the outside seating, wheres there’s a walk up waiting list that you need to get on first thing in the morning.
