This tiny restaurant used to be the old Cajun Swamp crawfish restaurant. Now, it’s a Korean-Fusion place serving up sliders, tacos, burritos, chicken wings… and beer. It is located in downtown Fullerton, across the road from the old Knowlwoods/ Old Spaghetti Factory, off an alleyway sandwiched between Commonwealth and the Amtrak Parking Structure. It’s also easier to just park in the Amtrak structure, rather than trying to find parking off Commonwealth.
They have a happy hour (Tuesday to Friday) from 3:00 to 6:30, where you can get sliders, tacos and beers for cheap. On Tuesdays, they have Taco Tuesday, where you can get a taco combo with soda or beer for cheap, and discounted wings on Wednesdays.
It was a Tuesday, so we stopped here for Taco Tuesday. Karen and I chose the 3 tacos combo that came with a soda for $8. She chose the chicken, tofu and bulgogi tacos, while I chose the bulgogi, chicken and pork belly tacos, both orders sans the sriracha sauce.
The tacos are “street taco” size, so they’re smaller tortillas, topped with a smokey kimchi salsa. It was more of a slaw and had a mild kick to it. It not very spicy, even for wimps like Karen and me.
The 3 tacos we had were messy, but delicious. I really can’t tell you which were my favorite, as they each had their own flavor. The bulgogi was tender, the pork belly was sweet and yummy, and even the chicken was good. These tacos are normally 3 for $9.75, and you’re getting a free soda, which is saving you about $5 for getting the combo on Taco Tuesday.
Wednesdays they have wings, where you can get discounted Korean style wings. I’m pretty sure we’ll be stopping here for that promo, plus their happy hour. Thumbs up to this place. The down side is its a tiny place, so get here early. When we left at 7, it was starting to fill up.
