Las Vegas is a fun town to visit, and I try to visit every few months. The Cosmopolitan is my favorite hotel, but for this visit, I was offered a free room with comps at the Hard Rock Cafe (HRC), located about 1/2 miles away from the Strip.
Our room was in the Casino Tower, the one closest to the lobby, on the 5th floor. The room a basic king bed room, facing the pool. For a free room, it was better than some of the other hotel/ casino’s we’ve stayed in.
The hotel and casino wasn’t crowded, probably because it was cold, and not yet New Year’s Eve. No one was using the pool, and the casino had plenty of machines to choose from. Included with my promotion was comp dollars to use at any restaurant or shop HRC owns. For breakfast, we chose to eat at their coffee shop, Mr. Lucky’s 24/7, located right next to the casino floor.
Like most restaurants in Las Vegas, Mr. Lucky’s was moderately priced. Fortunately for me, my meal was going to be free, so we didn’t worry about price. I had the HRC Breakfast, which was sausage, bacon and eggs, while Stephen had the Breakfast Quesadilla, and Stephen’s mom had the Corned Beef Hash and eggs.
Service was excellent, and our server checked up on us frequently. The portions were more than adequate, and we could have easily shared 2 of the entrees. Our server even offered to give us “to go” cups for our beverages, which I accepted. Thumbs up to this place. I’d come back, even if it weren’t comped.
